Where are you located?

We are located at 1500 Brookside Dr Raleigh NC 27604.

We are just after the Shell gas station and Circus Restaurant. If you pass Emma Conn Elementary School, you have gone too far. Keep in mind that we have no sales at the door and all tickets must be purchased prior to the event! And yes, all shows are indoors.

How many participants can join shows?

Knights, Nobles & Nobodies : 4 - 12 participants (maximum of 16 for private events only)

Outbreak: Survival & Trapped in a Room with a Zombie: Survival : 4 - 10 participants (maximum of 12 for private events only)

Contain the Tramping Ground: 3 - 10 participants (maximum of 12 for private events only)

We can hold up to 40 active participants in our three shows at one time. For larger groups, we recommend splitting between multiple time slots. For public shows, you may be in a room with people you do not know. Don't worry, you are all in this together! And you may make a friend by the end!

Which show is right for me?

Like working with a team, playing games, and getting a little silly? Want something less intense? Knights, Nobles & Nobodies is the show for you.

Want your heart to race? Looking for a show that requires a lot of strategy to succeed? Outbreak: Surival and/or Trapped in a Room with a Zombie: Mutation is where you want to be.

Enjoy local folklore? How about psychological mind games? Looking for a show to test your communication skills? Contain the Tramping Ground is where it's at.

Outbreak: Survival VS Trapped In A Room With A Zombie: Survival

Not everyone wants a Zombie chomping at their heals so we have created options for all to enjoy. Outbreak: Survival offers guests the chance to play the same game but without a live undead. While not required, if you're looking to learn and up your skills you could always play Outbreak: Survival to better your gameplay skills then come back and add the undead in Trapped In A Room With A Zombie: Surival. The Zombie (aka another professional performer in the room) accounts for the raise in ticket price from $28 to $32 (plus taxes & processing)

What is the level of difficulty per room?

It depends on your group's strengths and weaknesses! We are not a traditional escape room, so we do not have traditional difficulty levels. What makes our experience unique is that each show focuses on a unique area of team building with an actor specialized in group psychology. We do not limit a group to a certain number of clues nor do we offer them freely without do diligence. Therefore, we recommend, instead of looking for what room is most or least difficult, look for the room that interests you most! IF you still want a rating, you can see them on the OUR SHOWS page.

What are the show times?

 Tuesdays - Fridays: 1:30, 2:00, 3:30 & 4:00

**Public Show Times**

 Fridays: 6:00 PM
 Saturdays: 3:00, 3:30 4:30, 5:00, 6:00, 6:30

How much do tickets cost?

Tickets to all our shows are between $15, $28 and $32 depending on the show. A 10% fee is added ($7.25% for county & state tax + 2.75% for processing)

Looking for a discount? A reduced ticket type is available for qualifying individuals: students, veterans and educators with ID.

When Are Tickets Released?

All of our tickets are up and available online via the BOOK NOW button on our BOOK NOW page. If you do not see a show date or time that works for your schedule, please email your request via our CONTACT US form.

Can I schedule a private show for just our group?

Yes! Daytime shows are all “Private Event” shows; meaning if you purchase at least the required minimum for a particular show, no one else can book. Make sure you have purchased enough tickets for all your guests!

“Public shows”, all evening and weekend shows, have no minimum purchase amount. To make an evening or weekend show private, you must purchase all the available tickets for that show. Once those tickets have been purchased, you can request to add the show’s maximum number of participants if needed.

How long will it take?

This depends on how much smarter you are than a team of mad scientists! All shows are 80 minutes in length. This includes a short briefing to go over any pertinent information, 60 minutes in the room itself to escape, and the remaining time for debriefing and photos. Those who purchase one of our team building assessments may find their experience goes just over that time.

What is your reschduling/refund policy?

To reschedule your ticket, you must do so at least 48 hours prior to your showtime by clicking the “Manage My Booking” tab on your confirmation email. You can also choose to contact us directly if you need assistance changing your booking date. After 48 hours, all dates and times are final. You can give your ticket to another person if you are unable to attend; however, WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS FOR UNUSED TICKETS. All ticket sales are final. There are no exceptions. For those who have purchased, you can find our Terms & Conditions on your confirmation email. These terms were presented and agreed to at time of purchase.

Is it scary? Will I really get infected, eaten, or disappear?

Cannibalism was outlawed in 1804, so our zombie is not legally permitted to eat you. However, we are not responsible for those who decide to embrace their undead side after our show. Those who disappear usually find their way home...eventually...

Scary is a subjective term, as one person’s biggest fear is another’s greatest comfort. We are unlike other escape rooms in the area as we create a completely immersive experience; lights, sets, sound effects, and actors. Our actors are seasoned professionals with years of experience. They will always provide the highest quality entertainment without causing any undo stress or anxiety.

What should I bring with me?

Your inner Sherlock Holmes and all the sleuthing skills you can muster! The answers to the clues, riddles, and puzzles are all in the room. We recommend reading glasses if you need them, clothes you can move easily in (including closed-toe shoes), and a tip if you love your experience. Don’t give up! Keep searching for clues. You are going to have to work fast!

Are cellphones permitted?

Cellphones are not allowed to be used in the room. The use of electronic devices or any outside tools are strictly prohibited and you will immediately be removed from the show if you attempt to use them. We ask that you leave such items in the lockers provided.

What happens if I arrive late?

Don't be late! The door to the room closes and locks exactly at the time you signed up for. Please arrive 15 – 20 minutes early to make sure you are there before the room is locked. You will not be permitted into the room if you are late. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS.

How old do you have to be? Can my children go alone?

We have strict age restrictions on our shows. This is for the safety of the child, as well as the safety of our actors. In accordance with insurance and the fire marshall’s office, anyone under the age of 10 for Knights, Nobles & Nobodies and 12 for all other shows is strictly prohibited. This includes children under 10 or 12 accompanied by an adult.

For those guests between the ages of 10 and 14 years of age, a paying adult must accompany them inside the room. Furthermore, for every 5 children in the room, one adult must be inside as well. For groups with children between the ages of 15 and 18, an adult is not required to be inside the room, but is required to remain on the premises at all times. All guests under 18 years of age must have a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.

What waiver?

The link to our waiver can be found on your confirmation email and on the home page of our website. We ask that all guests sign the waiver prior to arrival for speedy check in. Waiver access on the premises is limited. For those under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must sign the waiver on your behalf.

Can I bring my drinks?

Non-alcoholic? Feel free to sip them in our reception area. However, Raleigh Room Escapes holds the right to withhold all service from those who are at any level of being intoxicated or under the influence of any substance. We DO NOT serve or allow any alcohol in our building. Intoxication includes, but is not limited to: slurred speech, difficulty walking, lack of balance, lack of attention, inability to answer simple questions, and inability to coherently follow rules. This is for the safety of staff, property, and most importantly, our guests. We promise a great show and exciting thrills, no extra supplements required - save the drinks for AFTER the show!

What if I am pregnant?

We are happy to have you! Knights, Nobles & Nobodies and Contain the Tramping Ground are great options, as they are our lower impact rooms. If you have your heart set on Trapped in a Room with a Zombie: Survival, we will not prevent you from going through. We only ask that you keep in mind that this room contains an active zombie, and moreso, 9 other people with whom you have to share the space. You know your limits best, so we trust you will choose the show that is right for you!

What if I am epileptic?

There are no strobes or flashing lights used in any of our shows; however there are buzzers (similar to a school bell) that ring often and other loud noises that occur over the course of our adrenaline-packed, hour-long shows. Sensory awareness warnings are available for each of our shows on their page inside the OUR SHOWS page. We do not recommend any of our experiences to those who suffer from severe claustrophobia or anxiety.

Do I qualify for a discount?

Are you a student? Veteran? Educator? We've got a DISCOUNT for you! Be sure to bring some ID and/or proof with you upon arrival.

#1.  DON’T JUST SIT THERE!  There are clues scattered throughout the room. Move, touch, pull, turn, twist and open as many things as you can to find clues.

#2. SHARE YOUR FINDINGS.  The only way to solve the puzzles and escape is to put all of the clues together.  A safe may take two or three clues to open.  Gather your clues in one spot and work as a collaborative unit with the other adventurers to come up with solutions.

#3. LET SOMEONE ELSE TRY.  If a participant thinks that they have the correct answer and a clue will not open…..THEY HAVE THE WRONG ANSWER OR THEY DIDN’T PUT IN THE ANSWER CORRECTLY!   Have someone else try it.  The riddles are obvious to some people and appear impossible to others.    Have everyone give the riddle a shot.  This will be one of your best tips to escape!

#4. DON’T GIVE UP!   The participants that don’t escape and “Get Eaten” stop looking for clues, stop trying different combinations and believe they can’t figure it out.  Keep having different participants try the solve the clues, keep looking at the riddle and keep trying any possible combination.  The worst thing you can do is “NOTHING”.  Keep moving, keep looking, keep trying and never give up!
