We are located at 1500 Brookside Dr Raleigh NC 27604. We are across from a Shell gas station and Circus Restaurant and close to Conn Elementary School. Keep in mind that we have no sales at the door and all tickets must be purchased prior to the event! And yes, all shows, including Escape The Tramping Ground, are indoors.
How many participants are in a session?
Escape The Tramping Ground: 6 - 10 people; up to 12 for private events. Trapped In A Room With A Zombie: 8 - 10 people; up to 12 for private events. Formula Of Escape: 2 - 4 people; up to 6 for private events. Stronghold: 2-4 people. You may be in a show with other people you do not know if you do not book all tickets. The entire group is on the same team working together to escape and can be a fantastic way to meet new people!
What session is best for me?
Psychological thrills with a dab of supernatural folklore and based in communication skills? **Escape The Tramping Ground** is our most scenically immersive show featuring lighting, sound, and scenic special effects. We're using proprietary technology to raise tensions to really push the boundaries of really wanting to escape the supernatural and unexplainable effects of the Devil's Tramping Ground! Action-packed, strategy fueled, and the live undead? **Trapped In A Room With A Zombie** is our most popular show for anyone wanting to come face to face with a live undead and a cooky professor that holds it at bay. While still offering a mental workout, this room is more suited to those looking to test their know-how to outsmarting the undead before being eaten! Traditional escape room to work your brain with theatrical flare? **Formula Of Escape** is best if you're looking to take a crack at the origins of a classic escape room. Plenty of puzzles, riddles, and ideal for small groups. What's even better? This show comes at the lowest price for an escape room in the state! Ready to get technical in your escape and work your tactile fix-it skills? **Stronghold** is a room escape for just about anyone looking to try something new. Story based and packed with new tricks, this is less of a room escape and more of a way to figure how how well you could survive the apocalypse if something goes wrong within your safe haven.
What is the level of difficulty per room?
It depends on what your groups strengths and weaknesses are! We are not a traditional escape room so we do not have traditional difficulty levels. What makes our experience unique is that each show has their own personal facilitator to give them the upmost attention in experience. We do not limit a group to a certain amount of clues nor do we offer them freely without concept. Therefore, with us, instead of looking for what room is most of least difficult, look for what room sounds most exciting to you! **IF** we were to give a rating of easiest to hardest it would be 1) Formula Of Escape 2) Trapped In A Room With A Zombie 3) Stronghold 4) Escape The Tramping Ground
What are the show times?

How much does a ticket cost?
Escape The Tramping Ground: $30 per person Trapped In A Room With A Zombie: $30 per person Stronghold: $25 per person Formula Of Escape: $20 per person Why the price difference? We price according to popularity and quality of the show. And we're not kidding when we say you're "trapped in a room with a zombie" or trying to "escape the tramping ground." As Stronghold and Formula Of Escape is a shorter show and more akin to a traditional room escape, it is offered at a low price to stay competitive with other businesses.
When Are Tickets Released?
Public tickets are released 90 days prior to the date of the event. If tickets are at 0 they are sold out. Please check out another show for the same date, or check out a new date entirely.
Can I schedule a private show for just our group?
Yes! To reserve an entire show for your group during the evening or weekend, you need to purchase all 10 tickets to Escape The Tramping Ground, all 10 tickets for Trapped In A Room With A Zombie, all 4 tickets to Stronghold or all 4 tickets for Formula Of Escape. How long will it take?
This depends on how much smarter you are than a mad team of scientists! Allow one and half hours for the entire session for instruction time, a solution explanation and an analysis of your team building traits. Prepare for a 90 minute experience in total for Escape The Tramping Ground and Trapped In A Room With A Zombie and 60 minute experience for Stronghold and Formula Of Escape.
What is your cancellation/refund policy?
To reschedule tickets for weekend shows, you must do so at least 48 hours before your scheduled showtime by clicking "Mange This Booking" on each confirmation email; once you are past the 48 hour mark, the dates are final. Tickets may be passed to others to be used in the event the original ticket holder cannot make it. WE DO NOT OFFER REFUNDS FOR UNUSED TICKETS. The purchase of each ticket is final. There are no exceptions to this including weather related incidents. If inclement weather does not allow regularly scheduled shows to proceed, guests will have the option to reschedule their tickets for a later date.
Will I really disappear, get eaten, suffocate, or turned into the undead if I don’t escape?
Cannibalism has been outlawed since 1804, so the Zombie is not legally permitted to eat you. However, we are not responsible for those choosing to embrace their undead side following a show. Those who disappear from the Devi's Tramping Ground usually reappear...somewhere....
What should I bring with me?
Your inner Sherlock Holmes and all the sleuthing skills you can muster! The answers to the clues, riddles and puzzles are all in the room. You will be using your ability to look for clues, figure out logic, communicate with the other performers and apply deductive reasoning to escape. Bring reading glasses if you need them, clothes you can move easily in, and a tip if you love your experience. Don’t give up! Keep searching for clues. You are going to have to work fast!
Are cell phones permitted?
Cell phones are not allowed to be used in the room. The use of electronic devices or any outside tools are strictly prohibited and you will immediately be removed from the show if you attempt to use them. We ask that you leave such items in the bins provided in the briefing rooms, the reception desk, or in your vehicle.
What happens if I arrive late?
Don't be late! The door to the room closes and locks exactly at the time you signed up for. Please arrive 15 – 20 minutes early to make sure you are there before the room is locked. You will not be permitted into the room if you are late. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS.

Can I bring my drinks?
Non-alcoholic? Feel free to sip them in our reception area and briefing rooms. However, Raleigh Room Escapes holds the right to withhold all service from those who are at any level of being intoxicated and we do not allow any alcohol in our building. Intoxication includes, but is not limited to slurred speech, difficulty walking, lack of balance, lack of attention, inability to answer simple questions, inability to coherently follow rules. This is for the safety of staff, property, and all guests. We promise a great show and a high chance of escape, no extra supplements required - save the drinks for AFTER the show!
What if I am pregnant?
For Formula Of Escape, Stronghold and Escape The Tramping Ground, no problem! However, we do not recommend Trapped In A Room With A Zombie for women who are pregnant, particularly once in their 3rd trimester as there can be a lot of movement and we cannot control all guests when they're being chased. While we will not stop a pregnant woman from making her own choice on whether to come or not, we simply ask to take into consideration 9 other excited, jumpy, people in a medium-sized room and a zombie that is making the rounds.
What if I am epileptic?
There are no strobe/flashing lights used in any shows; however there is a buzzer (similar to a school bell) that rings often and other loud noises that occur over the course of the adrenaline-packed, hour-long show. Sensory Awareness (Tramping Ground): Sonic brain wave technology to induce anxiety, sound effects, dim lighting, small writing (bring glasses if you need them). Sensory Awareness (Zombie): a loud buzzer goes off every 5 minutes, dim lighting (not dark), small writing (bring glasses if you need them), close quarters due to live undead Zombie getting a foot longer every 5 minutes. Sensory Awareness (Stronghold): ongoing sound scape, small writing (bring glasses if needed), dim lighting. Sensory Awareness (Formula): loud buzzer and other sound effects, small writing (bring glasses if needed), occasional flashing lights (not strobe), dim lighting. We do not recommend any of our experiences to those who suffer from severe claustrophobia or anxiety.

TIPS TO ESCAPE
#1. DON’T JUST SIT THERE! There are clues scattered throughout the room. Move, touch, pull, turn, twist and open as many things as you can to find clues.
#2. SHARE YOUR FINDINGS. The only way to solve the puzzles and escape is to put all of the clues together. A safe may take two or three clues to open. Gather your clues in one spot and work as a collaborative unit with the other adventurers to come up with solutions.
#3. LET SOMEONE ELSE TRY. If a participant thinks that they have the correct answer and a clue will not open…..THEY HAVE THE WRONG ANSWER OR THEY DIDN’T PUT IN THE ANSWER CORRECTLY! Have someone else try it. The riddles are obvious to some people and appear impossible to others. Have everyone give the riddle a shot. This will be one of your best tips to escape!
#4. DON’T GIVE UP! The participants that don’t escape and “Get Eaten” stop looking for clues, stop trying different combinations and believe they can’t figure it out. Keep having different participants try the solve the clues, keep looking at the riddle and keep trying any possible combination. The worst thing you can do is “NOTHING”. Keep moving, keep looking, keep trying and never give up!
* PLEASE arrive 15 -20 minutes before your scheduled session time. Late arrivals will not be permitted into the room. There are no refunds nor credits to future performances.
